Language is one of the most important things to survive in this world, by language we can communicate and interaction with our society every time and everywhere. English is an international language because it is spoken and understood by almost everyone in the world. With almost 1.5 billion people using it as their first or second language. Duolingo is a language-learning application wherein students can learn English from a series of activities like Translation, Matching, Dictation, Fill-in-theblank, Speaking, Listening, Multiple Choice, and Competition. Therefore, this study discusses the use of Duolingo in language learning and its ability to support the full acquisition of the English language. The study revealed that the use of Duolingo application was quite effective to enhance the students’ motivation in learning English. Two classes and each containing 30 students who participated. Two groups the experimental class and the control class are involved in this investigation. The result of the post test is 81.50 in experimental class and 56,17 in control class. The findings of this research indicated that using Duolingo is one of the most effective media strategies to boost students' vocabulary mastery.
