Abstract
The knee joints in Indonesia is increasing from year to year, in Indonesia
alone there are 4000 knee joint replacements every year, there are many knee joint
surgeries experienced by Indonesians or revisions due to improper use of medical
devices. Damage to the knee joint is often the culprit of paralysis in old age,
especially in women. Replacement at old age can withstand movements such as
prayer and trisandya related to imported medical equipment, making the knee joints
used for Indonesians unable or limited, this limitation is contributed by the damage
to the knee joints due to erosion of the surface between the artificial knee joints.
The strength of the artificial knee joint will be simulated using simulation software
using FEM (finite element method) as a computational system. Previously, it had
been reverse engineered using CAD software (computer Aided Drawing) and as a
Past Model, it used a literature review with the Depuy Spec model.
