English pronunciation is something that needs to be considered, because
English is a connecting language. This study focuses on the analyzing some
pronunciation applications which could be found and download using both
Android and iOS and recommended to be used in higher education due to the
concept of artificial intelligence, element, and aspect of pronunciation skills. The
objectives of this research were to find out some kinds of pronunciation
application based on Artificial Intelligence can be found,to describe the
advantages and disadvantages of those pronunciation application based on
Artificial Intelligence and to explore the results of the contribution to
pronunciation teaching. Then, the descriptive qualitative method applied using
observation and documentation. Researcher found 15 applications of
pronunciation, and prove that the application called Elsa Speak is the most
recommended. It has more advantages, namely: Can be downloaded for free, can
detect pronunciation errors with 90%accuracy, users can get feedback to correct
errors, provide 1,200 lessons and more than 60 topics, and offer interactive
dictionaries. Assessment and score include pronunciation, smoothness, intonation,
word pressure and listening. It also has several disadvantages, including: free but
paid downloads when using certain features, errors often occur, have weaknesses
in detecting user pronunciation, so sometimes there are pronunciation errors.
From the elements and aspects proven to be the most complete, namely pressure,
intonation, accuracy, and smoothness. Researcher recommend and design
teaching pronunciation with Elsa Speak at the 2-7 meeting taught to students.
