Abstract

Learning English vocabulary is very important when we want to be fluent in
speaking English. Especially for students who are still growing and developing. But
not easy to learn new words. So, The writer makes an innovation for teaching
vocabulary using Pop Up Book to improve students' vocabulary. Pop-Up Book is
implement to students in E-learning using Youtube video. This research used a
quasi-experiment design with non-equivalent control groups. By conducting a test
on two groups, this research design combines pre-test, treatment, and post-test
research. The population in this research are the seventh grade students of MTs
PSM Randublatung, Blora in the academic year of 2021/2022. Two classes of
seventh grade students from MTs PSM Randublatung, Blora made up the sample.
The control group is the first class, while the experimental group is the second. VII
C class is the control group, while VII D is the experimental group. The results of
this research show that using Pop-Up Book to improve students' vocabularies was
effective. The test result showed that the average score was 86,44, which was in the
good range. With a rate of 59,03%, the usage of Pop-Up Book as a learning media
is quite effective.
